Roof Tips & Expert Advice

Do I need a new roof?

Clues you might need a new roof:

  • Rotted fascia or rot under the eaves

  • Curling shingles

  • Crumbling / disintegrating shingles

  • Missing granules, bare spots

  • Nails backing out

  • shingles or ridge caps are blowing off

  • Brown spots on your sheetrock / ceiling

  • Missing shingles or shakes, or slipped tiles

  • Cracked or broken tiles

My roof is leaking! Now what?

If your roof is leaking, this only SOMETIMES means you need a new roof. Sometimes the roof just needs a repair. Have the leak looked at by a licensed roofer to determine best course of action.

How do I ensure my roof will last a long time?

Schedule regular maintenance and inspections by a licensed roofing contractor. Keep your roof clean of debris. Trim back trees / branches that overhand above your roof. Keep the critters away.

Did you know?

WORKMANSHP IS EVERYTHING! Roofs should last at least 30 years. There are 30, 40, and 50 year shingles, and you could have the best shingles in the world, but if someone doesn’t know what they’re doing, your roof’s life span will be shortened and it can certainly still leak if it is not installed correctly.
